Image Table

Note: This page was created entirely using Netscape Composer.

These images were composed with the Paint program that comes installed as basic software on most new computers. Images created individually are almost universally better than "clip art." Paint draws the images in "bitmap," but the files are very big. Save them in JPEG or GIF format. That way they are smaller files, load faster, and are generally easier to use. Notice that some of the images are used as components in others. The process of manipulation is almost endless. Feel free to use any of these images you want - or, even better, create your own.

The faces above can are spaced at different locations in the table cells using the alignment icon to create the standard gestalt image of the vase - or two faces. You can make the vase "wider" and further control placement by using periods.

Spaces and tabs are sometimes not recognized by HTML programs. To get around that, you can insert periods to the right or left of images to move them. If you don't want them to show, you can use the color tool to make the text the same color as the background. That has been done in the second and third set of images. I left the periods visible in the third set.

Also, this text you are reading now is in the cell to your right but concealed by using "white" for the text color. To read the "hidden" text, highlight the cell!
