Lecture Notes Class Activity
The following Lecture Notes Class Activity is provided to use in the classroom or online. The instructor may like to define key terms and work one example in each section before asking students to work any problems by themselves or in a group setting. The instructor may perform an informal assessment by walking around the classroom and providing suggestions to students when needed.
In an online format, the instructor may want to post these notes in an online class management system or on a personal website. At the instructor's discretion, students may complete the lecture notes and send to the instructor via e-mail or the postal service. Or, as an alternative, the instructor may use a tablet PC to complete the blank examples in the lecture notes and allow students to use the notes as a study guide.
The lecture notes include examples and explanations in red to model for students what is expected in their work or what is important to include in an explanation.
